Join CTAP 3 this Fall for hands-on exploration of a variety of technology tools to support student engagement and enhance instruction in your classroom. CTAP 3 is hosting monthly evening events covering a variety of topics for novice and intermediate proficiency technology-using-educators.
Cost: $35 (per workshop)
Time: 4:00 - 7:30 PM
Location: Sacramento County Office of Education, PC Computer Lab located at 10474 Mather Blvd., Mather, CA 95655 (Driving Directions)
Dinner will be provided.

In this workshop, we will look at how teachers are using wikis to support teaching and learning and begin creating a classroom wiki to use this school year.
Google Docs for Teachers

Learn about the suite of tools Google has to offer teachers and practical uses in the classroom and beyond. Participants will set up a Google account and learn the basics features of Google Docs, a free, web-based word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation tools. Learn to create and edit documents from anywhere and collaborate with multiple users at the same time. Discover resources and lessons for using Google Docs and review other Google tools to use with your students and others.
Advanced PowerPoint

This class is designed for novice PowerPoint users who want to become more proficient in the use of advanced features in PowerPoint to make their presentations more engaging and interactive. Class exercises will teach you how to use transitions effectively in a slide show, use PowerPoint’s built-in animation features, create custom animation, use advanced drawing tools, import sounds and video clips into PowerPoint slide shows, create buttons and assign actions to them and more. This class will be taught on PowerPoint 2007.
